Why Don’t You Nominate a Supply Chain Rising Star for this Award?

Any effort to reward and encourage the new generation of Supply Chain talent is important to us at Argentus. By now, everyone knows that the baby boomers’ retirement is creating a vacuum in terms of Supply Chain talent, and the industry needs to do everything it can to bring in the brightest stars on the junior end. In fact, millennial (apologies for using the “m word”) Supply Chain professionals are some of the most innovative, creative contributors to any organization, bringing their facility with technology and interdisciplinary approach to bear on Supply Chain organizations across industries.

This week, nominations opened for the 3rd annual 30 Under 30 Supply Chain Stars award. Run by online sourcing platform Thomasnet and the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), the award seeks to shine light on some of the top emerging contributors in the Supply Chain field. 30 star performers earn the recognition of their peers, free membership in ISM, and free admission to the ISM 2017 conference in Orlando, Florida, and one “Megawatt” winner receives a free, all-expenses paid trip to the conference.

As recruiters specializing in the field, we’re all about encouraging junior Supply Chain talent, so we’re all for initiatives like this – we’ll be thinking closely about who we’re going to nominate. It’s worth the small amount of time to help a future Supply Chain industry leader boost their career.

For the first time, Thomasnet and ISM have opened the nominations to individuals outside of the United States. So let’s reward the brightest emerging Canadian Supply Chain talent! We’re encouraging everyone in our network to think about nominating someone in their organization, either a protégé or peer, who deserves some recognition for their talents.
