Argentus is working with a brand new client in the Manufacturing sector on a classic Supply Chain Management leadership opportunity—an opportunity to make an impact with a fantastic organization. This company has a proud history in their industry, with a top flight leadership team. They’re undergoing a supply chain transformation towards a strategic centre for their business, and as part of this effort they have tapped Argentus on a search for a Supply Chain Manager!
Working out of the company’s Oakville, ON facility, this Supply Chain Manager will take on leadership duties for key supply chain functions including supply & demand planning, procurement and inventory management. In this role, the successful candidate will lead a supply chain team to develop and implement strategic supply chain processes. This individual will work with diverse stakeholders across the business, to manage the demand forecast using historical data and trends, and develop a supply plan in conjunction with the procurement team. You will oversee the overall procurement strategy for both raw materials and finished goods, and manage and optimize the inventory plan for the organization. You will collaborate closely with suppliers to improve supplier relationships, and lead business reviews of suppliers to identify areas of risk and opportunity. In addition, you will work to coach and mentor the supply chain team to success, delivering exceptional strategic supply chain outcomes for the organization.
This role is an excellent fit for a candidate with at least 5 years of supply chain leadership experience within the industrial manufacturing, automotive manufacturing or wholesale distribution industry. Strong skills with supply and demand planning, inventory management and procurement are a must for this role, as are very strong soft skills and an ability to develop strong relationships and break down siloes within an organization. The successful candidate also needs to have successful people leadership, coaching and management experience.
