Argentus is excited to be partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the food manufacturing and global logistics space on a search for a Senior Operations Manager – International Trading. This organization is a respected player within the market, known for its strong operational capabilities, entrepreneurial culture, and long-standing reputation across international food supply chains. They’ve partnered with Argentus to support a key leadership hire within their logistics and operations function.
Supporting the company’s International Trading Division, this role will oversee complex, temperature-controlled logistics operations across global markets including North America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Africa. The successful candidate will take ownership of ocean freight, cold chain transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and intermodal operations, while leading a high-performing logistics team in a fast-paced environment.
This role offers significant cross-functional exposure and strategic visibility, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders, transportation providers, cold storage partners, and global vendors. You’ll be responsible for driving operational performance, developing logistics strategies, negotiating with steamship lines and 3PL providers, and ensuring service levels are maintained across a complex international network. In addition, the role will play a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening operational scalability, and supporting future business growth.
The successful candidate will also oversee logistics budgets, monitor KPIs, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to temperature-controlled transportation and global logistics operations. This is a leadership-focused position requiring someone who can build accountability across teams, manage through complexity, and drive execution within a dynamic supply chain environment.

This opportunity is best suited for candidates with 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations, including strong exposure to temperature-controlled transportation, ocean freight, warehousing, inventory management, and intermodal logistics. Leadership experience within global or international supply chain environments is essential, along with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
