Today, they have tapped Argentus to source a Procurement Specialist for their critical Construction and CapEx categories!
Working from the company’s office in Edmonton, AB, this Procurement Specialist will act as a key advisor and business partner for end-to-end high-value, complex procurement initiatives within Construction, Capital Expenditure and other capital projects. In this role, the successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders in the business to gather requirements, and then action those requirements into successful outcomes by managing full lifecycle procurement events including market analysis, RFP preparation, supplier outreach, bid evaluation, complex supplier negotiations, contract award and ongoing vendor management following the award. Using your strong project management skills, you will work to ensure that projects are completed on time and on schedule, monitoring vendor performance and addressing and escalating any supplier performance issues as they arise. In addition, you will act as a subject matter expert for Construction and CapEx procurement within the organization, providing recommendations to stakeholders using a strong understanding of the supplier marketplace and procurement best practices. In short, you will use strong procurement skills to deliver exceptional outcomes in terms of total value, risk and delivery for these CapEx and construction projects.
This opportunity is an excellent fit for a Procurement professional located in Edmonton, AB with at least 5 years of strategic procurement experience within CapEx, Construction, or other complex, high value Capital Projects. A strong understanding of the supplier marketplace for these categories is a must for this role, as is significant project management and supplier relationship management experience. Access to a vehicle as well as a valid driver’s license for site visits is also a requirement.
