Today, Argentus is working with a brand new client on a great front-line Logistics role. This company, in the Luxury Goods space, is growing quickly, with an excellent suite of high-end products and a mix of technical and creative proficiency as they serve a variety of global clients. They’ve tapped Argentus to help them find a bright, high-potential Logistics Analyst!
This Logistics Analyst will work out of the company’s Toronto, ON location (in-office), and manage two key functions for the organization: (1) the logistics of inbound deliveries from the company’s overseas suppliers, as well as outbound shipments to the company’s global customers and (2) business analysis and reporting for the company’s ongoing projects. On the logistics side, you will track inbound ocean shipments, liaise with brokers for customs documentation, and liaise with freight companies to arrange pickups and deliveries to the facility. Once orders are ready for shipment to customers, you will manage the logistics of order delivery, preparing freight brokers and outbound shipping documentation (including bill of lading, packing slip and commercial invoice), ensuring that orders are delivered to customers in good condition and in a timely fashion. In addition, you will work within Excel and the company’s ERP system to prepare reports to forecast inventory levels, provide financial analysis about ongoing shipments, and identify risks, providing leadership in the business an analytical, birds-eye view of all active inbound and outbound shipments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career supply chain candidate with logistics and customs clearance experience under their belt, including experience working with freight carriers and customs brokers. The successful candidate needs to have a positive and resilient attitude to wear many hats as the company grows, and deal with emerging logistical challenges as they arise. Strong analytical skills are a must, as are strong skills with Excel and ERP systems (ideally Netsuite, but other ERP systems experience would work as well). If this sounds like you and you’re looking to move into your next great opportunity, reach out to Argentus today! Call 416 364 9919 or send an email with your current resume, outlining your Logistics and Customs experience, to recruit@argentus.com.
