Argentus is thrilled to be working with a new client on a search for a Demand Planning Manager! This client in the CPG space is a proud Canadian company with deep roots in the industry, and export markets across the globe. Today, they have approached Argentus to support recruitment for a Demand Planning Manager!
Working to support the company’s location in Mississauga, ON (on-site), this Demand Planning Manager will take on a variety of supply chain duties, with a focus on classic demand forecasting, but will have other supply chain duties in collaboration with cross-functional contributors including production, sales, logistics, scheduling and suppliers. In this role, the successful candidate will develop and refine accurate demand forecasts for the company’s products using a combination of sales trends, historical data, seasonality and market intelligence. You will collaborate with the sales team to align on promotions, customer forecasts, and future growth opportunities, and collaborate with production and scheduling departments, all with the goal of accurately matching production capacity with expected demand over a number of time horizons. In addition, you will monitor inventory levels, with the goal of preventing obsolescence, stockouts and excess inventory, and conduct procurement and distribution activities for resale items. Additionally, this role will work with the logistics process, working with a number of logistics and freight providers to manage inbound shipments and deliveries.
In short, this is a full-spectrum supply chain role, with an emphasis on Demand Planning and exposure to a number of other critical supply chain disciplines. It is best suited for a candidate with at least 10 years of supply chain management experience, ideally within the Consumer Packaged Goods, Food or Pharmaceutical industries. Considerable experience with Demand Forecasting is a must, as is exposure to other supply chain disciplines mentioned above including logistics, inventory, production planning purchasing.
