Argentus is thrilled to be working once again with one of the most exciting burgeoning CPG companies in Toronto. This company has an international footprint, with a number of thriving brands and a strong, integrated Supply Chain. They’ve tapped our expertise in the Procurement sector to fill out their Strategic Sourcing bench strength. Today, they’re looking for a Senior Procurement Lead to take charge of particular categories as they continue their prodigious growth!
Working out of the organization’s Toronto office, the Senior Procurement Lead will help develop and execute on category strategy for the key areas of Chemicals and Raw Plant Materials. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, as well as members of the Supply Chain team, to help set an overall direction for the category, and drive value in terms of cost savings, strategic supplier relationships, and lower overall total cost of ownership. It’s an analytical role where you will be using KPIs and other supplier metrics to set and achieve targets, implementing continuous improvement within the category to help build it as a value-centre within the organization. You will identify and lead negotiations with key suppliers, building relationships to minimize risk in the Procurement process while finding opportunities for innovation.
Our client is looking for a high potential sole contributor with at least 7 years of experience under their belt within raw materials, particularly chemicals and / or plants. The successful candidate also needs to have experience expanding a supplier base, as well as experience presenting to senior management, and some management experience as this is a growth-focused role.
