Argentus is working with a brand new client on a set of Planning roles. This global company is a leader in the chemicals industry, with a suite of diverse products for application across a host of industries. As part of their efforts to continuously improve their forecasting and data accuracy, they’ve tasked Argentus with sourcing an S&OP Analyst for a 6 month contract!

Working out of the company’s Brampton, ON office, this S&OP Analyst will manage the demand planning process as part of the overall Sales & Operations Planning process for the company. The successful candidate will take charge of developing and implementing the forecasts, bringing in  data from sales activity, replenishment data, capacity planning, marketing plans, and new product launches with the goal of increasing the overall accuracy and effectiveness of the forecasts. You will work to determine the appropriate algorithm and statistical modelling for forecasts, and then work to input data from various sales & marketing streams to help boost the forecast accuracy. You will monitor inventory data for various product lines, and analyze that data against the forecast to avoid any issues, and bring foreward any exceptions or issues that arise from a disconnect between the forecast and ongoing inventory. In addition, you will use continuous improvement methodology, implementing new metrics and leveraging insights from the sales and marketing teams  to identify new opportunities to improve the forecasts and the overall S&OP process.

This is a great sole contributor-level contract for a candidate skilled with demand and inventory forecasting within Consumer Goods, Food, Pharmaceutical, Distribution, Chemicals or a similar industry. The successful candidate needs to have very strong analytical skills, as well as a continuous improvement mindset.
