This growing organization has a great history in the industry, and is in the midst of a major digital transformation that will align and future-proof their manufacturing operations. As part of this transformation, they’ve tapped Argentus to help them find a Production Manager!
Working on-site from the company’s facility in the York Region, ON, this Production Manager will take on a leadership role for production at the site, working to leverage the company’s new digital tools for production efficiency and overall customer service. In this role, you will act as a hands-on leader who will coach, mentor, motivate and train the production team—empowering them to use the organization’s new digital tools, and to drive process improvement within the production process. You will work to manage production activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders including demand planning, supply chain finance, production planning, and plant management—and manage overall staffing and production levels to reduce fluctuations and provide overall operational excellence. You will take on a leadership role for plant safety activities, reviewing any ongoing safety issues with all employees and the team, and addressing them in a timely manner to provide a high level of safety and reduce risk in the manufacturing process. In addition, you follow legal and regulatory requirements for all manufacturing processes including Ministry of Labour requirements, occupational health and safety act regulations, and food safety.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a significant production/supply chain leadership track record, ideally within food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing. Experience leading teams in a production environment is a must for this role, as is experience setting staffing levels and an excellent understanding of occupational health and safety, Ministry of Labour and food safety regulations. Our client is also looking for hands-on leaders with a deep understanding of continuous improvement, who have worked to help implement digital transformation projects within a production environment.
