Today, we have another excellent supply chain leadership role, this time with a brand new client in the Mining industry! This organization boasts one of the largest mining footprints in Canada, with a large portfolio of diversified holdings across the globe, and a strong culture of leadership across business lines. Today, they’re looking for a Director of Supply Chain focused on defining and executing a supply chain transformation strategy, enhancing business partnerships, and increasing engagement with local first nations communities.
This individual will work onsite at the company’s site in the British Columbia Interior (on-site is a must) to provide supply chain leadership and functional expertise for all aspects of running the site. This includes strategic procurement, logistics, and inventory for a variety of heavy-industry goods and services categories. In this role, the successful candidate ensure a smooth supply of goods and services, working to build value through cost savings, risk mitigation and supplier innovation all along the supply chain. You’ll lead a team to build partnerships with stakeholders across the organization to align supply chain activities to the overall business, and develop strategies around systems and processes to develop supply chain into a centre of excellence for the organization. You’ll develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to help forecast supply chain performance, and mitigate risk through effective partnerships. This role requires significant process improvement skills, as you’ll be working to transform the company’s supply chain capabilities, and work towards supplier enablement by forging strong relationships with local suppliers and first nations.
In short, this is an exceptional supply chain leadership role with strong compensation, for a candidate with significant end-to-end supply chain leadership experience within mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, or another similar industry. The successful candidate needs to have experience leading holistic supply chain teams to success, and experience developing and executing supply chain and process improvement strategies. Please note: this is not a remote role. Our client is only looking for individuals who are able to relocate from within Canada to their location in the B.C. interior.
