Industry: Food Production
Today we’re bringing you a new contract role with one of our top clients, a food production company in Etobicoke, Ontario with over 120 years of heritage in the industry. Today they’re hiring a Technical Writer to document and improve their Supply Chain processes on a one year contract.
The Supply Chain Technical writer will work out of the company’s Etobicoke facility with the goal of creating documentation for a standardized operating procedure for the company’s distribution and warehousing function. You’ll create manuals that will explain complex, process-based information clearly and concisely for a wide internal audience within the corporation. You’ll maintain copies of these standard operating procedures in digital as well as physical formats. It’s a great role for a technical writer, but one who has experience in documentation for Supply Chain or Manufacturing: you’ll be using the documented information to help the Process Engineer and Project Managers redesign the network and create continuous improvement projects. You’ll also help automate processes when it comes to reporting of Supply Chain metrics and other indicators of performance for internal clients.
The ideal background for this role is someone who’s a technical writer or documentation expert with specific experience documenting Supply Chain / Distribution / Warehousing processes. Our client is looking for someone with a degree in business or engineering as well. It’s a bit outside our usual wheelhouse, but our team is on the case! If you or someone you know has these skills and is looking for a great contract at a world-class company, call Argentus today! 416 364 9919 or email@example.com.
