We’re happy to bring you a great Procurement role with our great client in Ottawa! This is a Public Sector organization that commands a ton of respect for its excellence in Supply Chain, Logistics management, and today they’ve come to Argentus to bolster their Procurement function specifically.
This role is based at the organization’s Ottawa, Ontario office. Currently working remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions, this individual will need to be in Ottawa for equipment pickup and other occasional in-office tasks. Please note: our client is offering paid relocation from anywhere in Canada for the right candidate!
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will take charge of the Procurement process to help deliver excellent customer service while making sure that company Procurement adheres to applicable policies, legislation and trade agreements. You will conduct needs analysis for long-term contract management and Procurement projects, then work to provide recommendations for senior management and execute the Procurement process in a way that is consistent with relevant regulations. It’s a longer-term Procurement role with a wider scope than a pure buying role, as you’ll work to develop a broad supplier base for the organization as well as implementing new strategies to allow the organization to trigger contract renewals to make sure there’s an adequate supply of various goods and services.
The successful candidate for this role will have significant Procurement experience (at least 5 years), and a very strong understanding of contract management, contract law, and the regulatory environment for Public Sector Procurement.
