This company has exceptional brand recognition in Canada, having spent the past few decades using its exemplary Supply Chain to help power it towards national reach. Today, they’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Marketing Category!
This role is based in the company’s Mississauga, ON office. It’s a Manager-level strategic Procurement role supporting the company’s Marketing function, particularly when it comes to the agency review process. You will work to optimize and centralize the company’s marketing spend as it continues to modernize its Strategic Sourcing function. This means developing a plan for the category, running RFPs, negotiating with suppliers, and implementing these Strategic Sourcing initiatives on an ongoing basis. You will use a deep understanding of agency KPIs to monitor agencies’ supplier performance in the areas of digital marketing, creative and media placement, interactive, and brand strategy. You will also leverage strong soft skills to get buy-in from stakeholders in the company’s marketing function, acting as a bridge to get the most possible value out of the supplier/stakeholder relationship.
The successful candidate for this role needs to have at least 7+ years of strategic Procurement experience, and a deep understanding of the Marketing category including experience running end-to-end Procurement for agencies as part of an agency review process.
