Today, they’re looking for a Strategic Sourcing Lead to help boost their Procurement function in a number of indirect categories!
This individual will work out of the company’s Mississauga office, working to set category and sourcing strategy, developing innovative solutions to reduce total cost of ownership and lower risk. They’re looking for an innovative thinker who will find opportunities to improve customer experience through strategic relationships with suppliers. In addition, the successful candidate will leverage the organization’s considerable spend to help consolidate cost, SKUs, and the supplier base. After setting category strategy and identifying opportunities, you will develop and execute on sourcing events, and help onboard and manage relationships with successful suppliers, developing and measuring key metrics to maximize those relationships. You will also act as a subject matter expert for the assigned indirect categories within the organization. This means working closely with key stakeholders to advocate for Supply Chain’s role in the company success, and find collaborative opportunities for further innovation in the various categories.
Our client is looking for an individual with considerable Strategic Procurement experience in Indirect categories. The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of Procurement experience, with a demonstrated track record of setting strategy, identifying and delivering on cost savings for a large-scale, multi-location organization. Experience within the hospitality industry is a plus. It’s an excellent role for a proven sole contributor looking to make their mark in terms of category strategy and delivery.
