This client is an organization with a significant footprint and a strong customer service focus. Today, they’re looking for an Associate Director of Procurement!
Working out of the company’s Mississauga location, the Associate Director, Procurement will work closely with the organization’s executive team to lead a Procurement transformation to redefine the strategy behind the organization’s $500 million spend. This will involve building key relationships with internal customers, developing a diverse base of suppliers, driving improvements in Procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, developing resources and team members, and generally working to move Procurement into a total cost of ownership / shared service framework that will pay significant dividends for the organization as a whole. Reduce cost, encourage innovation, and evolve the organization into a renowned leader in Procurement and Supply Chain. This is a people management role, with at least 15 direct and indirect reports on the overall Supply Chain team.
At least 15 years of experience is a must for this role, with specific experience transforming and building the Supply Chain and Procurement functions within a company – pushing a high degree of strategy and innovation along the way. This role has significant succession potential, with room to grow in the future. A track record of significant Strategic accomplishments in Procurement is this client’s true mark of success.
