Working out of the company’s facility in Etobicoke, ON, the Sourcing Manager will take on ownership for purchasing all indirect goods and services within the Procurement team. You will set a direction for these categories by developing a long-term sourcing strategy, working in concert with stakeholders and the Procurement team to deliver strong outcomes from the perspective of cost savings and efficiencies. You will use excellent analytical skills and Procurement acumen, as well as strong research about the external marketplace to identify opportunities and risks within the company’s indirect spend, and lead in the sourcing of new indirect products and services. You will also use strong negotiations skills to bring vendors online, ensuring a high degree of satisfaction among various stakeholders within the business. In short, it’s an excellent manager-level role with the opportunity to drive change and deliver the kind of big-picture accomplishments that can make a Procurement career.
This role is a great fit for a leader with at least 5 years of experience in Procurement, and a strong understanding of a number of indirect categories (e.g. Marketing, IT, Travel, etc.). A strong understanding of ERP systems is a must, as are strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
