Argentus is thrilled to be working with a new client in the Pharmaceutical industry. This client is a renowned global firm with a reputation for results and quality. Today, they’re looking for a Senior Specialist to manage their Import and Export as part of their global Supply Chain function!
Working out of the company’s office in Mississauga, the Senior Specialist, Import / Export will support the Supply Chain organization in the on-time delivery of medicines. You will work with both internal and external stakeholders to run inbound and outbound shipments, liaising with transportation and logistics, customs brokers, carriers, and government agencies. In addition, you will act as a subject matter expert for customs and import/export requirements dictated by government agencies, working to ensure a high level of efficiency and speed in the customs and import/export process for the company’s products. You will identify shipments’ commodity classification, review all customs invoices and shipping documentation, and provide support in obtaining the relevant licenses and permits, among other import / export duties. In short, this is an impactful role at a great company for an individual with excellent knowledge of customs, trade regulations, logistics and Supply Chain.
The successful candidate for this role needs to have a significant combination of education and experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Customs & Trade. A Masters’ Degree and 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s and 5 years of experience, or 7+ years of experience, is a must for this role – with a particular emphasis on import and export.
