This large (confidential) organization operates a number of services brands serving a variety of top-shelf clients in a variety of fields and industries. Within this large and complex organization, their Procurement group runs a best-in-class centre-led sourcing model to provide excellent global service. Today, they’re looking for a Senior Manager of Technology Sourcing!
Based in the company’s office in downtown Toronto, this is a senior-level sole contributor level role. This individual will provide overall category strategy development and execution for the Information Technology category — specifically Software. You will use your understanding of the software supplier marketplace, as well as a deep understanding of stakeholder needs within the organization, to conduct a range of large scale, complex sourcing initiatives to support the strategy, working to deliver the best value within acceptable risk for the organization. You’ll work to consolidate the overall IT spend under management, driving commercial efficiency and innovation in the organization’s utilization of software. In addition, this role has a considerable contracts component, where you’ll be working to represent Procurement in negotiations with IT suppliers, redline contracts, and provide ongoing supplier relationship management.
Our client is looking for someone with a significant record of Strategic Procurement success within IT — specifically the software category, and for large-spend, high-volume projects. At least 7 years of IT sourcing experience are a must for this role, as is a strong understanding of the software category, and significant experience with redlining contracts and supplier relationship management.
