Argentus is thrilled to be working with one of our top clients in the Food Service industry. This company has a number of high-profile brands, and a reputation for Procurement and Supply Chain excellence. Today, they’re hiring a Procurement leader to bolster their purchasing within their crucial food categories.
As a Food Service leader, this company’s brands depend on excellent food category Procurement to keep up their track record of success. So this role has the dual function of being a crucial front-line contributor, as well as a leader within the company’s Procurement group to develop strategy for their brands. Working out of the company’s office in Vaughan, ON, this Senior Category Manager will develop a category plan for Food Procurement. As the Senior Category Manager for these crucial goods, you will be a key facet of the brand team, working in close collaboration with other members (as well as one direct report) to provide value from a Procurement perspective. You will develop a deep understanding of the relevant categories, from the perspective of quality, cost, pricing, transportation, promotions, and other key factors, and then develop the Procurement strategy and execute. Lower cost, mitigate risk, develop the company’s knowledge base for the assigned categories, and communicate and present about food Procurement issues, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership within the business.
The successful candidate needs significant significant Procurement experience in direct food categories (at least 7 years), as well as exceptional communications skills.
