Argentus is thrilled to be working again with one of our top clients in the Food Manufacturing sector! This organization has posted strong growth, with a reputation for innovation in their brands and production, and a culture of excellence. Today, they’re looking for a Project & Engineering Manager to help lead their capital planning and investment!
Working mainly out of the company’s facilities in Kitchener, and periodically the GTA facility, this Engineering Manager will execute capital planning and investment projects for large, complex capital projects, for example new major equipment, new facilities or expanded facilities. Working closely with the Plant Manager and Maintenance managers, you will work to scope, design, install and commission new capital equipment – maintaining very strong communications with senior business leaders about project requirements and progress. Utilizing strong Project Management skills, as well as Engineering acumen, you will work end-to-end to ensure that all capital and construction projects are completed within scope and specifications. In addition, you will use an Industrial Engineering background to work within Lean Si Sigma, 5S and Continuous Improvement frameworks to identify new opportunities to improve operational performance, improve product quality, productivity, and overall customer satisfaction.
This is an excellent role for a best-in-class engineering leader with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Process Engineering, as well as experience in a lean manufacturing environment. Food Production, Consumer Goods or Pharmaceutical experience is a must for this role – although our client would look at a strong performer from another adjacent manufacturing industry like automotive. Strong ability to influence and communicate with senior leadership is almost a must.
