Today, Argentus is working with one of our clients on a new Procurement role! This company is a best-in-class Canadian owned and operated leader in the CPG industry, and they are looking to add a strong leader to their Procurement team.
Located in the West GTA, the Procurement Manager will have their feet on the ground in their management of strategic sourcing, vendor relationship management, and contract management for the Supply Chain operations. The responsibilities of this role include directly managing the spend for raw materials, along with exercising your leadership by providing expertise on significant purchasing, and sourcing contracts, and processes for various functional areas. This also includes validating pricing through analysis, and maintaining Vendor Trade Agreements in the ERP system. You will be responsible for managing planning and execution of key COGS reduction initiatives, and leading product launches into the operation. As the Procurement Manager, you will be developing and maintaining relationships with third party suppliers and service providers, as well as partnering with cross-functional business leaders in support of procurement activities.
Our client is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in procurement of packaging, labels, and cartons, and with some experience with ERP as well. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Supply Chain operations with a broad knowledge of inventory control, order management, manufacturing operations, and transportation.
