Argentus is thrilled to be working with a great client in the Food Production space on a pair of Procurement roles! This company is a famed Canadian brand, with a significant national presence and a strong culture of collaboration and growth. Today, they’re looking for two Procurement Managers to add to their capabilities within Direct Ingredients, Packaging, and Co-Manufacturing.
These are impactful Manager-level roles within the group’s Procurement team. While they aren’t focused on people management, they are strategic roles for individuals with considerable relevant Procurement experience. Working within one of the assigned categories, you will use your Procurement chops to work with a variety of key stakeholders and deliver cost savings and category management excellence. You will use your understanding and review of market trends to anticipate impact on suppliers in the assigned categories, and then use your understanding of the marketplace to provide business leadership with insights to improve the company’s supplier base and position. You will negotiate with suppliers, establish agreements, and manage contract renewals, all the while tracking key metrics to improve the company’s Procurement effectiveness in the long run.
These are strong growth-focused roles with major potential for strong Strategic contributors. Our client is looking for individuals with at least 5-10 years of strategic Procurement experience in one of the relevant categories within the Food Production, Consumer Packaged Goods and/or Pharmaceutical industries.
