This company has a strong reputation for quality, safety, and sustainability, as well as a diversified business within various aspects of large-scale construction. Today, they’re looking for a Procurement Manager to help lead their team!
Working out of the company’s offices in Acton, ON, the Procurement Manager will report to Finance and oversee several buyers, taking ownership of Procurement processes and results across a number of categories including cement, steel, construction services, with support on the indirect side. You will work to add value to the bidding, awards and negotiation process by being strategic with vendors. You’ll help to enact a category management approach, leveraging the organization’s considerable spend to improve the supplier base, reduce risk, and lower costs, working with a diverse base of stakeholders to get buy-in from within the business and execute on sourcing events.
Our client is specifically looking for someone with significant progressive experience in Procurement, particularly in the construction category, on highly-customized construction projects. The successful candidate will be an experienced sole contributor ready to move into a managerial role, or a manager looking to make their mark at a new organization.
