Argentus is working with a great Consumer Packaged Goods client in the GTA. This company has an international footprint, with a number of thriving brands and a strong, integrated Supply Chain. They’ve tapped our expertise in the Procurement sector to fill out their bench strength in the function. Today, they’re looking for a Procurement lead for the Packaging category!
Working out of the organization’s office in the Greater Toronto Area (location confidential for the moment), the Procurement lead will help develop and execute on category strategy for the key area of Packaging. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, as well as members of the Supply Chain team, to help set an overall direction for the category, and drive value in terms of cost savings, strategic supplier relationships, and lower overall total cost of ownership. It’s an analytical role where you will be using KPIs and other supplier metrics to set and achieve targets, implementing continuous improvement within the category to help build it as a value-centre within the organization. You will identify and lead negotiations with key suppliers, building relationships to minimize risk in the Procurement process while finding opportunities for innovation.
Our client is looking for a high-potential sole contributor with 3 to 5 years of experience under their belt within Procurement of packaging – specifically within Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical or a like industry.
