Argentus is thrilled to be working with another new client on an impactful Procurement role. This Food Production company is a fast-growing and award-winning force in their market segment, with a bright Procurement and Inventory Team. Today, they’re looking for a Procurement Manager specifically for their Packaging, one of their key categories of spend.
Working out of the company’s Windsor office, the Packaging Procurement Manager will lead a team of 7 high-performing direct reports in the inventory management and purchasing of all the company’s packaging. They’re looking for a true ERP subject matter expert (SAP or Oracle) who can help them extract extra value from their ERP system, while ensuring that all data is captured and managed within it. You will help develop the supplier base for the team to execute on buys, and work to negotiate contracts with new existing suppliers, in close collaboration with internal packaging stakeholders based on their requirements. Interface with sales, finance, etc., and use forecasts and other relevant data to manage packaging inventory to a high degree of efficiency. Reporting to the VP of Ops, this is a strong Procurement leadership role at the manager level, an opportunity to drive excellence in the Supply Chain as the company continues its rapid growth.
The ideal candidate for this role will have significant Packaging Procurement experience within the Food Production or Pharmaceutical industry. At least 3-5 years of experience is a must, with significant experience in Inventory Control, as well as the aforementioned ERP skills. This is a people management role, but our client is willing to consider individuals who don’t have direct managerial experience if they’re enthusiastic and motivated to hit the ground running with coaching and team development.
