Argentus is currently searching for IT Category Managers for one of our clients in the financial services industry. They are a well known, well respected financial services firm with international operations and an unparalleled reputation for customer service. They are looking to augment their team by bringing on high-potential IT Category managers in a variety of categories at their Toronto office!
Our client is looking for a number of Category Managers to fill such categories as software, hardware, IT consulting, telecom, cloud digital, market data, and BPO outsourcing. These Category Managers will act as subject-matter experts within the organization. They’ll be responsible for determining the needs of their category, and meeting those needs under budget to provide strategic advantage and cost savings for the organization. An important aspect of these roles is cross functional cooperation with other categories to help drive continuous improvement, so strong relationship-building skills are a must. The Category Manager will need to be a true expert of the category within which they are working, providing insight to the organization and using this knowledge to accelerate the category’s performance. Within each category, this will be a holistic role that involves sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendors. This organization has undergone many changes recently, making it an exciting time to get your foot in the door and make a mark!
Our client is looking for high-potential candidates with strong ambition to quickly grow their careers in IT Strategic Sourcing. Suitable candidates will be required to have 5-8 years of progressive experience within their category. Negotiation and contract management are large aspects of these roles, and therefore will be considered valuable assets by our client.
