Argentus is working with one of our top recent clients, a leader in the automotive aftermarket industry in Canada, on a Supply Chain leadership role: a Distribution Manager for their facility in Mississauga, ON!
The Distribution Manager will take on leadership duties within this location with the goal of increasing performance, cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, uncovering efficiencies in the distribution process, and providing mentorship and people development to staff. You will take accountability for the facility’s performance within the organization, ensuring a high fill rate and meeting other KPIs. This is also an opportunity to drive the distribution strategy within the organization: you’ll use an understanding of Lean and Six Sigma to develop and deliver on continuous improvement initiatives. You will also develop strategy and continuous improvement from the perspective of people management, providing staffing plans, as well as coaching and development for the facility’s Warehouse Managers and other DC staff.
Our client is specifically looking for someone with an Industrial Engineering background for this role, as well as 10 years of experience in Distribution and Warehousing. Someone with demonstrated experience in leading successful Lean and Six Sigma Projects will also work in lieu of an Industrial Engineering background. Significant leadership experience within a unionized environment is also a must for this role. This is a significant leadership opportunity at a great organization, with very competitive compensation, for the right candidate. So are you the right candidate?
