Today they’re hiring a Director of Vendor Management to help modernize and transform this aspect of their Procurement practice!
This company is rapidly maturing in terms of their Strategic Sourcing function, and they’re looking to bring on a vendor management leader to take ownership of creating and implement their vendor management framework. You will outline and deliver programs to manage vendor risk and vendor performance, acting a strategic hub for a wide variety of internal stakeholders to help facilitate a high degree of satisfaction with vendors. You will also act as an ambassador for the vendor management program within the organization, communicating and training various leaders within the business on the program, best practices, and how to minimize risk in their relationships with vendors. This position is location-flexible and our client is looking to hire someone in Mississauga, Burlington or Guelph.
The successful candidate for this role will have 5-7 years of progressive vendor management experience, including a strong understanding of risk management, audit, regulatory compliance, etc. A background in financial services or insurance is an asset for this role. Our client is looking for someone high-potential, a strong subject matter expert with excellent relationship-building skills and an interest in diving deep and building something from the ground up.
