Argentus is working with one of our top clients in the hospitality / facilities management industry on a new perm role! This company is the largest player in their niche, with a strong sense of mission and a great company culture. Today, they’re looking for a sole contributor-level Category Lead to help them take charge of their Food & Equipment categories!
Working out of the company’s Mississauga office, this Category Lead will oversee the company’s Food and Equipment Procurement. You will develop strategy for the assigned categories, conduct sourcing events, and onboard and manage supplier relationships, all with the goal of finding opportunities to improve both cost and process. This means leveraging the scale of the company’s spend in this area to develop standardized service models with suppliers, and advocating on behalf of a diverse set of stakeholders within the organization to deliver an exceptional quality of goods within the right timelines and with cost savings. You will also develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, and work to continuously improve these relationships from a collaborative standpoint. In addition, you will act as a point of contact to a key stakeholder – leadership in the Food and Beverage function – to keep them abreast of product availability, Procurement options, the supplier marketplace, etc. Key procured goods in these categories include: bakery, dairy, specialty, produce, dishware, utensils, linens, glassware.
Our client is looking for someone with at least 5-7 years of relevant Procurement experience in Food and/or Equipment – a background in the Quick Service Restaurant, Food Service or Hospitality industry is ideal.
